WHO ARE WE?

The New Mexico Youth Tennis Foundation is a 501(c)(3) tax exempt corporation created in 2007 with the mission of supporting organizations and programs that enhance the lives of New Mexico youth through tennis and education. We are dedicated to improving the quality of life among our state’s youth.

WHAT DO WE DO?

Through after school tennis programs and the lifetime sport of tennis the NMYTF encourages children from all cultural, ethnic and socio-economic backgrounds to realize their potential by learning the life skills inherent in tennis: self discipline, goal setting, grace in winning and losing, and pride in themselves and their schools. We fund after school programs, junior scholarships and adult education grants, scholarships and grassroots efforts---helping to create healthy communities in the State of New Mexico.

The NMYTF conducted the ColemanVision Tennis Championships, a $75,000 USTA Women’s Pro Circuit Event, that became an $80,000 event, from 2007 through 2017 to help raise funds for the mission of the Foundation. Through this event we provided youth clinics and training for both advanced and beginning players. We also bussed elementary students to the site for 2 Kids’ Days---giving them the opportunity to learn about tennis and meet talented young women tennis players from around the world demonstrating the opportunities inherent in tennis.
