Quail Ridge Tennis Club of Taos defeated Angel Fire Resort 7-4 in a close team match in Taos on Saturday, August 3rd. Taos won four out of six three set matches.
"All of the matches were very competitive and I was very proud of our team" said Angel Fire Tennis Director Brett Hall. Kurt Edelbrock said "there is a definite home court advantage with a 1500 feet elevation difference. Angel Fire won the first intraclub match in Angel Fire 8-5. We played 11 total matches so we could have a team winner."
The last match was a pro am mixed doubles where Angel Fire Tennis Director Brett Hall and Mona Redmon defeated Quail Ridge Director Kurt Edelbrock and Wendy Whiteman 6-1, 6-1. Kurt put on a nice luncheon after the matches for all of the players and spectators.
Kurt and Brett were very happy with both Interclubs this summer and plan on continuing the friendly rivalry in the future.

3. Frank Redmon-Randy Babick (AF) defeated Hank Brussellback-Tom Horn (Taos) 6-0,3-6,6-2.
4. Doug Christian-Don Christian (Taos) defeated Larry Kramer-Kirk Hollingsworth (AF) 7-5,1-6,7-5.
5. Doug Crow-Roger Chilton (Taos) defeated Al Proctor- Marty Dale ( AF) 6-2,6-7,6-3.
6. Bernie Linnartz-Bob Clawson (Taos) defeated Kent Buster-Ron Alexander (AF) 6-1, 6-2.
7. Phil Koszarek-Wally Harbert (AF) defeated B.C. Hosch-David Skinner (Taos) 2-6,6-1,7-6.
Ladies Doubles
1. Erica-Luellen Hertel (Taos) defeated Judy Proctor-Sally Joy (AF) 6-4, 7-6.
2. Elise Olonia-Sonya Schreiber (Taos) defeated Barbara Gibbs-Maxine Milam (AF) 6-2,6-2.
3. Jody Koszarek-Kathy Yeaman (AF) defeated Jeanie Clawson-Roz Zwelling 3-6,6-3, 6-2.
