Join NNMTA in bringing programs to our youth. Sissy Kelly and Liz Briganti had an idea. They wanted to see more structured match play, and in particular more doubles match play, for juniors in our community. they were seeing a younger group of kids emerging from the Orange Ball 10U movement, that were seeking tournaments and match play, but were finding that not all the younger events were making. And, quite often, doubles was not even offered. So they made a plan for a junior invitational doubles event for 12U Green Ball players. They offered coed, boys and girls, doubles match play. They wanted a compass draw with lots of play opportunities provided to the kids. They wanted a one day event. They took their proposal to the NNMTA Board. The Board unanimously approved the great idea. They partially funded the event that Sissy and Liz presented. Check out the great group of kids in the photo above that participated in the event.
