March 16, 2016 11:23 AM

Dear Friends, Past Tournament Players, and Sponsors:

Dwight_EdwardsI am proud to announce securing Dwight Edwards as our keynote speaker at the Texas Shootout party this summer on Saturday evening July 23rd at Angel Fire Resort.  Dwight is a professional speaker with a very strong tennis background.  He was the keynote speaker at the Texas USTA/USPTA Convention and was highly recommended from my good friend Ken McAllister, former Executive Director of Texas USTA.  He will be talking on the great benefits of our sport, particularly perseverance!  Dwight works at the River Oaks Country Club in Houston and is trying to encourage teams at his club to come to the tournament.  My friend and former world class player Dennis Ralston is also encouraging teams to come up from his club in Austin.  I greatly appreciate your past support of this wonderful event and I hope you continue this year.  I am alive and thriving due to all of the work on research and therapies funded by the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.  I have met so many fellow blood cancer survivors and wonderful human beings connected to this great organization!  Thank you again for your support and I hope you can join us this summer!
