The best juniors in Arizona , New Mexico and El Paso, Texas will be playing June 12-15 in Albuquerque, N.M., at USTA Southwest's premier summer tournament, the Junior Closed .

The USTA Southwest Junior Closed annually brings together the Southwest's top-ranked junior players to crown true ‘section champions’ in 25 separate divisions in singles and doubles (GOLD - Boys and Girls 10s, Boys and Girls 12s, Boys and Girls 14s, Boys and Girls 16s, Boys and Girls 18s singles and doubles. SILVER Boys 12s, 16s and 18's singles and SILVER Girls 16s singles).

With just under 300 players, the event is also one of the largest junior events held in the Southwest, and will use four separate playing sites to field the draws – Jerry Cline Tennis Center, Albuquerque Academy, Tanoan Country Club and Tennis Club of Albuquerque .

Winners in the 12s and 14s age groups will also advance on to the
Nike Junior Tour USA National Masters , held in late September at Stanford University in Palo Alto, Calif.
