USTA Southwest recently announced $12,500 worth of Community Tennis Funding Grants to facilities and programs across the Section that promote the sport, USTA programs and/or community based tennis initiatives.
QuickStart Tennis and introductory programs were among those receiving funding in this grant cycle, as were wheelchair programs, and Tennis on Campus programs promoting series events to give collegiate teams more competitive play opportunities.
Fourteen total facilities, programs and member organizations were among those funded during this particular grant cycle which closed in mid-May. The next round of Community Funding Grant applications are due November 15.

Successful grant applications are awarded in December of 2010 (with payment received just after Jan. 1, 2011).
