Play In The 2019 World Team Tennis League
The league, which started in 1985, will again be hosted by the City of Albuquerque tennis program. A team is composed of at least 2 men and 2 women. NTRP divisions will be offered at the 3.0, 3.5, 4.0, and 4.5 levels. The team’s NTRP level is calculated by taking the average of the 2 highest rated men and 2 highest rated women on the team. Winners of the local league qualify for a regional competition. Winners of the regional competition then qualify for the national competition.
The Albuquerque League is scheduled to start January 19th and continue for about 6 weeks with play on the weekends. Deadline to register your team is January 9th. The entry form, with the $100 team fee, must be received at Jerry Cline by the deadline date. Teams may designate home courts at their club with permission of the facility manager, or use Jerry Cline/Sierra Vista/Ventanna Ranch at no charge for home courts. All team members are required to register online at the World Team Tennis site to be eligible. Registration will also make members eligible for regional and national competition.
