Youth Red League
Wondering what is available for 7-10 year olds?  Well, look no further, we have just the thing for you.  This League is set up for those kids who are looking to learn how to play the game.  The season starts Sunday, April 6 and runs each Sunday through the 18th of May.  The place is La Cueva High School on Wyoming between Paseo del Norte and Alameda.  The time is 2:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.  The cost is $20 (which is a bargain any way you cut it) and this price includes a t-shirt.  This program is designed to teach the participants the basic strokes needed to learn this fun and exciting team sport.  It is meant to teach while making it fun to learn.  Teachers consist of adult and high school tennis players who have a love of the sport and want to share their enthusiasm and skill with newcomers.  If you have a girl scout in your midst, there is now also a badge that is awarded for participation in this league.  If you are interested in registering, call Chloe Shi Odom at 821-3811.  Deadline is April 1.
