CALLING ALL MIDDLE SCHOOL LEAGUE TENNIS PLAYERS!
You are invited to participate in the following events:
¨ MEET THE LOBOS!
Meet the UNM Men’s Tennis Team on Sunday, February 15th from 1:00–3:00 PM at the University of New Mexico Lobo Tennis Club (on University just south of “The Pit”. Come participate in a clinic with the team members and play some tennis with the guys! There will be no charge for this opportunity to receive some coaching from some of the best players around, but you must sign up! Call your middle school coach or USTA NNMTA @ 505-823-6599 by February 10th to sign up for this great event!
¨ “The Rookie Series” - for Unranked Middle School Boys and Girls
Sunday Afternoon (1-4PM) Singles Tournaments @ La Cueva High School
Dates: February 29th, March 4th, April 4th, and April 25th
Cost: $10 per tournament or $30 for all four events!
Eligibility: Any 6th, 7th, or 8th grade boy or girl (unranked as of 2/29/04)
Points will be awarded as follows: 1 Point for Entering and 2 Points for each win. Prizes for the top point winners in each division will be awarded at the final tournament. Call Dick Johnson @ 507-6795 for further information.

Each tournament in the Grand Prix Series must be entered separately, and can be found online at www.usta.com. “Tournaments” and enter the ID # given above. Points will be awarded as follows: 1 Point for Entering, 2 Points for each win in the Main Draw and 1 Point for each win in the Consolation Draw. Awards for Grand Prix 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners for each age group will be presented at the Annual Rock ‘n Rally, May 26th at 2:00 PM at Jerry Cline Park.
