2005 Competitive Training Center
The Northern New Mexico 2005 Competitive Training Center is dedicated to improving tennis in New Mexico. Our goals are:
  1. To attract more young players from every background to tennis and keep them playing.
  2. To help players reach their maximum potential.
  3. To teach players sportsmanship.
  4. To bring together competitive players that will learn, train, and compete with each other.
The goal of the USTA Competitive Training Center (CTC) are to bring top players within an established geographic region together to train and compete. Typically these players would not normally train together. Competitive Training Centers are not intended to replace any aspect of a player’s regular training, teaching pro, or education. Benefits of the program are obvious when competitive players are able to learn, train and compete with each other.

The Albuquerque Competitive Training Center is directed by D’Wayne Begay a certified USPTA/USPTR tennis professional. The Training Center uses other certified teaching professionals from the USPTA and USPTR. Other coaches used, are highly competitive adults who are either sectional or nationally ranked.

All training sessions are held at the Lobo Tennis Club. The Spring 2005 Competitive Training Center schedule is:

January 9th, 2005
January 30th, 2005
February 13th, 2005
March 6th, 2005

If you would like your junior to attend and benefit from the Competitive Training Center, please contact D’Wayne Begay at (505) 239-3500 for more information.
