ColemanVision Tennis Championships
Story Lines
Kristina Brandi won the ColemanVision Tennis Championships in 2003. Coached by father, Joe, who played on the men's tour and also coached Pete Sampras in 1989-91. Has younger brother, Stephen, who is a professional skateboarder. Enjoys writing and has written feature articles for CNN Web site sportsillustrated.com and CBS Web site sportsline.com. Named 2003 Athlete of the Year by the Puerto Rican Tennis Association.
Stephanie Debois was the runner up in last year’s championships. On ITF Circuit, reached four singles finals, winning first career singles title at $25K ITF/Hamilton-CAN without dropping a set in five matches, also reached two doubles finals, winning career-first doubles title at one.
Milagros Sequera member of the Venezuelan Olympic Team in 2000. Won singles gold medal at 2003 Pan American Games.
Lilia Osterloh won 1997 NCAA national collegiate singles title as freshman at Stanford University and named All-America in singles and doubles, Stanford also won the national collegiate team title. Named Tennis Magazine/Rolex College Player of the Year in 1997. Member of United States Pan American Team in 1999.
Aniko Kapros mother, Aniko Kery, won a bronze medal in gymnastics at 1972 Olympic Games and travels on tour with Aniko. Most memorable experience was winning Australian Open junior singles and doubles titles in 2000. Member of Hungarian Fed Cup Team 2001-02 and Hungarian Olympic Team in 2004.
Teryn Ashley was a two-time NCAA champion in 1997 and 1999 and a three-time All-American at Stanford. Earned a BA in Political Science at Stanford University in 2001.
Zuzana Zemenova was the 2005 NCAA Singles Champion. Currently attends Baylor University.
