» ColemanVision Tennis Championships

Tanoan Country Club will be the new home of the ColemanVision, September 19-26.  If you haven't been to Tanoan in a while, it has gorgeous views of the mountains and a very nice clubhouse where you can get a bite to eat.  This tournament has been in Albuquerque since 1998 with Highpoint Sports and Wellness being the host for the first seven years.  This event draws more spectators each year with 10,000 tickets being sold last year.  To make this event even greater, there has been huge community involvement in making it a success.  This tournament typically has in the neighborhood of 150 volunteers who do everything from bringing in food for the players, housing players, manning the ticket counter and each court where matches are held, and more.  There are also many businesses who support this tournament.  The event  draws women from all over the world.  Last year, there were 32 qualifiers and 32 main draw players, all vying for a piece of the $75,000 in prize money.  Eager to learn more?  Peruse the dropdown menu and work your way into learning more about the event.  We'd venture a bet that you will want to mark your calendar for the tournament this year.  It is something you won't want to miss if you want to see some high-quality tennis in your own backyard.
